The bulk of the enquiries I’ve had so far are about making changes to event listings. It was always my plan to allow event organizers to do this, but I wanted to make sure I’d tested it out first.
I might be half way around the world in New York, but still the magic of laptops and free hotel wifi has enabled me to get this feature working! Organizers can now manage their own events.
First you need to register
If you head over to this page here (which is also found in the menu bar under ‘Events’) then you’ll be prompted to either login or register. Do the registration thing now (please, no fake emails, thanks!).
Add an event
So far, so good.
If your events are already on the system
Please contact me and let me know. It’ll take me a couple of days, but I can assign events that are already on the system to your username and then you can manage them as if you’d created them yourself. Alternatively you can create a new event and I’ll delete the old one.
In time I plan to make it so that events don’t need approval from trusted organizers. Give me a bit of time on this one, I need to figure it out. At the moment your events will move to a holding pen, and someone at LARP.GUIDE HQ will manually check and approve your event.
And don’t forget to spread the word to other event organizers!
