I suspect that at some point almost every LARPer has tried to make something out of leather for their character. I know I did last year – and it was (unsurprisingly) way harder than I thought it was. However the experience did give me a new found admiration for leatherworkers who manage to make beautiful kit.
It was at a modern post-apoc game that I met Alex – so I had no idea that he made incredible leather armour and accessories. It was only when I added him on Facebook that I found his business page, which has resulted in me wanting to throw money that I don’t have at the laptop screen every time his Facebook page is updated with new pictures.
Recently he put a new item into his Etsy shop, this gorgeous leather pouch that would be perfect for almost any fantasy game.
Check out the workmanship on the leather braiding. It’s so neat and even.
Oh, and he also works on commission too. In fact it’s the only way you’re likely to get your own armour from Alex – don’t wait for him to put something in his Etsy shop!
Make sure that you follow Alex on Facebook to keep up with his latest work.
Don’t forget to share this post with a friend who might like Alex’s leatherwork too!
