Character Spotlight: Valr

By Character Spotlight · On September 12, 2015

System: Ornithocracy

Status: Alive

Valr is a cuckoo-crow or, essentially, she’s an assassin pretending to be part of the Veil. She is decidedly and surprisingly neutral when it comes down to things; she monitors her chosen coterie for signs of aggression, drama and power-grabbing, but generally demonstrates little concern for things outside of that. She makes herself useful by offering her skills as a blacksmith. Her mannerisms are often along the spectrum of ‘business-like and ‘are they seducing me?’ – she takes great delight in confusing others or just wrong-footing them, seemingly unintentionally. I would classify her as amoral rather than evil, as she only cares about her true coterie, first and foremost.

The costume came from CorsetUK for the top and Amazon for the whip. The rest was put together from charity shop trawling!

The most intense roleplaying experience was definitely being in the presence of at least two other cuckoos who had proclaimed to the Parliament what they were. That was a delight for her but at the same time, something she had to conceal.

I would love for someone to either be the attention of her romantic interest or to be the attention of someone’s romantic interest in turn. She isn’t a very social character by design, so it would be all kinds of hilarious awkward.
