We’ve not posted so much this week here at Larp Guide – other than Leah’s fantastic post on action and violence in LRP. But there’s been plenty happening elsewhere…
New World Magischola have announced that they’ll be running a College of Wizardry LARP next year in the USA! It was prohibitively expensive to travel to Europe this year for many LARPers around the world to take part in CoW, but this means that a whole new bunch of people get to have a go next year. It could be interesting too – CoW is known for it’s incredibly high standards of both costume and roleplay, so I look forward to seeing the photographs.
Geek & Sundry released a short film this week about a Canadian LARP shop. It gives an interesting insight into a workshop making LARP kit, showing behind the scenes at the Artisans d’Azure.
Oscar Plummer released some great photographs from Flying Lead: Cannonball event earlier this month. If you want to see more of his work, you can catch him here on Twitter. I’ll be hanging out with him this weekend at an event, so I’m sure you’ll see more fantastic images on his feed soon!
It might be that I was playing a bit of Warcraft earlier today, but I really think that this leather satchel* from MythworksUK* is rather smart. Plus don’t look now, but they also make a Millennium Falcon Star Wars Knitting Tool*. Honestly… I’m not an enabler.
