Dumnonni Chronicles is a live role-play group with a game based on Celtic and Dark Ages mythology. It encompoasses those traditions, but is stylised to create a heroic but realistic feel. The look and feel of Dumnonni is re-enactment meets fantasy and the players spend considerable time working on the look and feel of their costuming and props to ensure that it fits well into the world that has been created and this helps create both believability and atmosphere.
Dumnonni Chronicles endeavours to be accessible to players that enjoy many different aspects of LARP. Plots require both thought and action, and therefore cater to a broad range of interests within the scene.
The system is ‘low fantasy’ – where the fantastic is accepted but handled in a rational way. Dumnonni’s aim is to run a good story with a feel of authenticity to the era with fantastic and even comedic elements… Just like all the most well read and entertaining accounts of the time.
